Report:
The Trophy Striped Bass (Rockfish) season continues. We boated our largest fish of the season a 44 inch 35 pounder using an Alien Head with a 9" Sassy Shad. The fish seem to have moved to deeper water, and we are catching more on our deep lines than on the shallow ones. Almost all of our fish have finished spawning, and there are a few less fish around than when, early in the season, we had fish both coming and going from the spawning grounds. I expect that we will continue catching trophy fish through about the 18th of May, and since the size limit drops to 18 inches on May 16th we will be able to keep a few more fish. Now is the time to book a Black drum fishing trip. These huge fish will only be around for a few weeks in late May and early June. Now is also the time to book your summer trips out of Atlantic City. Just give me a call. Tightlines, Capt. John Wilkinson cell: 410-320-9351
